Fast Lane Transport was established in 2000 by our President, Layne Petersen, who gained industry expertise by working as a courier for various trucking companies for more than fifteen years. Layne decided to model his new business to parallel the distinguished level of freight trucking service offered by the industry's leading transport companies, but for a more localized market. Thus, Fast Lane Transport was launched.

The company's name was given to us by our customers as a play on a word for Layne's name. Our customers appreciated Layne's dedication to completing their deliveries rapidly, reliably, and safely hence the nickname Fast Lane -- the heart of what we are all about!
